The boy has big dreams and thinks he is the leader of the two-person gang but little does he know that the girl is really the clever one who leads by manipulation in a mild mannered fashion. The story itself is set in nineteen sixty-nine the start of a turbulent time but they live their lives with little or no worries, as the troubles have not reached Ardglass or surrounding areas, yet.

Synopsis:

Meet the filmmaker

My name is Fra McCartney and I was born in Belfast in 1949 into a family of eleven children in the west of the city. My interest in writing was prompted when I was began my journey of sobriety and it was used to fill the enormous vacuum left in my life. My first venture in writing was to write with a pen and paper about all the characters and streets where I lived. This lead to me writing poetry and then I tried my hand at writing screenplays and making short films. It was a bit of a struggle but after time it became a love and I have went on to write a book about my childhood memories titled “Silvers City” with moderate success. In between I garnered some finance to make a short film with Lamb Films and it was a complete new experience, and even at this late stage of my life a great learning curve, and I have to say it was a most enjoyable experience. I have six children four girls and two boys who I am immensely proud of and I’m also proud of this film and am very grateful to the cast crew and everyone else that had an input into its making. Also I found the whole writing and directing process a great way of remaining sober, a day at a time.
