Director Statement

This film comes from a personal memory. I had a similar encounter in India when I was 8. Years later I wanted to return to it and explore it further, as it was a revolting and concise microcosm of different classes and ages in conflict, which also mirrored each other.

It had been a deep existential experience for me, involving fate, injustice and personal choice. I wanted to recreate it with a minimum of words and a maximum of actions, a montage of moving images and sounds, to pose open questions for anyone to discuss and answer their way.
